How to apply for your Spanish NIE Number

How to apply for your Spanish NIE number in your home country before you get to Spain, what documents you need, download of documents, how to make an appointment all explained below.

WHAT IS A NIE NUMBER?

The NIE number is your Identification Number: You will need this if you want to buy property, open a Bank account at most banks, run a business etc. when in Spain.

You will also need it if you are a non-resident, foreigner buying property.

If you are wanting to reside long term I would suggest along with your long term visa application you apply for your NIE number. Get a jump on it before you arrive in Spain, to do this you will need the NIE Document Forms and payment forms. (See links Below)

We successfully applied for ours before starting our visa process.
