Get your Spanish Residency, simplified for you with links and relevant information to complete this process below.
Why choose the Non lucrative visa for Spain:
This Visa type is best if you can support yourself financially for a year or 2. This visa would be my first choice if you have means of subsistence. The Self employment visa is difficult to obtain. If you do not need it in the first year apply for the Non lucrative visa.
ONLY apply for the Golden visa if you are unable to live in Spain for 6 months or more and if you can afford it.
After the first year of being a resident you can change your visa type. If your self employment visa is denied you will struggle to get your Non lucrative visa. You will be on their radar as seeking work. Depending on your circumstances, if possible, try NON LUCRATIVE first.

(Note: the consulate of your country of residence might not have the same outlook as Madrid as they don’t always seem to agree. If you got a “favorable” in Madrid it doesn’t mean you will get a “good to go” from your consulate. This will only mean your results are in. The decision should be within a 3 month period from date of hand in. )
