Wine farms in Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is the centre of the wine industry in South Africa and this is where you will find most of its renown wine farms.

Many a select bottle can be found in this area boasting more than 150 wine farms.

Many of the wines in the area are exported and many are take top places in the International market.

South Africa is known for its gold and more so for its liquid gold. So set your time as it is always “wine” o’ clock in Stellenbosch.

I only listed 21, my tops to visit are the lovely Blaauwklippen (with its Saturday and Sunday markets) and Muratie.

These are all great wine farms. Some off the beaten track. Some a tourist haven. These are not the only wine farms in Stellenbosch and many locals will tell you which is there favourite.

There are so many to choose from. Each one more beautiful than the one before. You will not be able to visit them all, or maybe you will? Either way don’t miss out. Take the grape plunge.
