Medieval July Market in Obidos
Make your way to Obidos in July for the 2 weeks Medieval market. The locals and surrounding areas will take you back to experience Obidos, its famous castle in the spirit of medieval Europe times.
There are hundreds of entertainers, stalls, merchants, jugglers and more wandering around the town all dressed creating the mood. There are shows, horse displays parades in full costume and “knights at war” all for your entertainment setting the scene.

Castelo de Óbidos
The history of the castle plays a pivotal role in the village. The castle is staged at the top of the hill, a reminder of the battles it was once ready to fight. This Castelo has beautiful views and on a clear day you can see for miles.
Adventure seekers can walk on the castle wall “promenade”, it is 10-20m high and spans around the village. It has roots dating back to the 9th century.

Located inside one of the 7 wonders of Portugal the Obidos castle. This Pousada is of enormous historical importance and includes medieval features from the 9th century. For you to enjoy are the common areas such as restaurant and bar, while experiencing an authentic medieval stay.

Lovin Book Guesthouse obidos
Found within its historic fortified city walls. It is 100 m from the Castle and from the site of the Óbidos Vila Natal and the Chocolate Festival.
The guest house is a renovated medieval home. Recycled materials were used to refurbish the rooms with a quirky feel. The property features various books in its décor, hence the name. I would say its more a couples location and it is rated 9.7 for a two-person trip.
